OB Golf – Mellin Trophy

June 26 | 08:00 - June 28 | 17:00

The G.L.Mellin Tournament is a Public Schools six-a-side golf competition contested annually between the second sixteen schools from the Halford Hewitt.

Founded in 1960 by T.R.Parry and aptly named after G.L. (Susie) Mellin, the founder of the Halford Hewitt.

Held at West Hill Golf Club, one of the best known courses in Surrey,  the stunning heathland course, designed in 1909, is lined with towering Scots pines and beautiful but treacherous heather. The tournament is open to any member over age 55 with a handicap of 9 or better. Two pairs over age 65 and one pair over 75 are also needed to represent us in the Veteran Mellin events (handicaps not so important here).

Event organiser is Mark Orchart (74-79)  mark.orchart@btinternet.com
