Our mission is to teach boys to think intelligently, act wisely and be fully engaged in a challenging and changing world.
Our four values of integrity, responsibility, endeavour and curiosity are at the very foundation of every boy’s education at Bedford School and underpin all that we do.
To have the highest standards of honesty and trustworthiness; to stand up for what is right; to set an impeccable example of sportsmanship; to develop appropriate personal moral views; to be fair and reasonable at all times.
To take responsibility for learning and behaviour; to show respect to all; to care for others and support them in what they do; to act in accordance with school expectations; to understand their place and their duties in the school, in the local community and in the world.
To do one’s best in all things, in the classroom and beyond it; to try for the sake of the team as well as the individual; to aspire to and achieve success in all its forms.
To take an interest in academic work; to ask questions; to broaden knowledge and intellect; to engage in a wide variety of school events; to be aware of the world beyond Bedford School: locally, nationally and internationally.
We encourage boys to develop their intellectual curiosity, broaden their knowledge and develop their own opinions of the world in which they live.
