Welcoming girls from September 2027

Bedford School is a Co-educational Boarding and Day School for ages 7 to 18.

At Bedford, we hold a simple belief: That each become more. Every young person should have the time and space to grow into themselves – not forced into shape, not rushed, not overlooked, but stretched to think deeply, to be intellectually curious, and to develop the confidence to aim higher and go further.

As we open our doors to girls, Bedford moves forward with rooted progress; steadied by its values, enriched by new voices and shaped for the world ahead.

An exciting new chapter that brings…

Wider Perspectives

As Bedford welcomes girls, the school itself becomes more: broader in perspective, richer in experience and strengthened by new voices and opportunities.

Greater Belonging

As we open our doors more widely, Bedford itself grows too – the same values, but a broader, fuller community and a richer life shared together.

A Richer Community

Every young person should have the time and space to grow into themselves. But none of us does that alone. It happens in a community: through friendships, shared expectations, support and challenge.
That each
become more

Celebrating an Outstanding Set of A-Level Results

Building on the excellent International Baccalaureate results achieved earlier this summer, this year’s leavers have once again achieved remarkable success across a wide range of academic and vocational pathways. Alongside A-Levels, boys also celebrated strong results in BTEC Sport Science and Enterprise & Entrepreneurship.

Spectacular Results for Our IB Cohort

Our final cohort of International Baccalaureate boys have achieved an outstanding set of results, with half of the year group scoring 40 points or more out of a maximum 45. Of the ten boys who completed the IB Diploma Programme this summer, five achieved the exceptional milestone of 40+ points, while the most common Higher-Level grade awarded across the cohort was a 7 which is equivalent to an A* at A Level.
