The DT department is always buzzing with activity as boys of all ages explore, research, discover, solve problems, create and learn. This week our Y7 boys dived into practical work, starting work on creating bottle openers.
Creating this simple product allows the boys to develop a range of new skills, from learning how to use a hacksaw, measuring with accuracy and marking out their designs using engineers blue (a specialist, highly pigmented blue paste) and a scriber.
The boys took on the challenge enthusiastically, and it was great to see their pride in their ability to design and create a product, not to mention their enjoyment as they acquired new skills.
