Following their first full week of school, Y5 travelled to Ickwell, our beautiful nature reserve, for a team building day on Tuesday 11 September. It was great to see the boys getting stuck into bushcraft activities, including team games, fire-lighting, a scavenger hunt and building shelters.

Although the boys may not have realised the purpose of the day, through the fun activities they bonded with their new tutors and classmates, improved their social skills during team-building activities and grew in self-confidence, independence and resilience ready for the academic year ahead. Most importantly, the smiles on their faces said it all, and new boys to the school commented that the day really helped to make them feel welcome and settled.
