Y5 boys and girls from Bedford Prep and Bedford Girls’ School joined forces once again for a fun activity day on Thursday 9 June.

At Bedford Prep, the pupils enjoyed using drama-based games to explore their creativity and hone their collaboration skills. The results were brilliant, funny and, of course, wonderfully creative. The boys and girls also tested their powers of negotiation, problem solving and teamwork in a thought-provoking survival challenge, during which they had to decide what items and actions they should take in a plane crash scenario.

Over at Bedford Girls’ School pupils also enjoyed a scavenger hunt, team-building games and a newspaper bridge-building activity.

Dom Affleck, Head of Y5 at Bedford Prep, explained, “It has been great to see the boys and girls working so well together today. These activity days are brilliant at helping to promote team working between the boys and girls but also, equally importantly, helping to build new friendships.”
