Bushcraft got a definite thumbs up from our Y4 boys this week, who thoroughly enjoyed their couple of days in the wild.
During the action-packed two days, they built shelters, learned survival skills such as fire-making (and all-important fire safety), built and set traps and learned how to disappear into their surroundings using camouflage and concealment (we did find them all—in the end!). Not to mention enjoying plenty of woodland games, some excellent food cooked over the fire, plus lots of singing and fun around the campfire.
The great outdoors was most definitely great!
