Our Y3 boys were delighted to head out into the wild on Friday 16 September for their first Prep School trip. Their destination: our nature reserve at Ickwell. Open for the first time since the pandemic started, it proved especially exciting to welcome our newest boys first to this very special place.
Happy to be in the great outdoors, the boys bonded with each other and strengthened their budding friendships as they set about building dens together, hunting down mini beasts to study and even got to hold a snake.
With the campfire lit, the boys tried their hand at making and, even more importantly, eating smores before rounding off their day with campfire songs—a simply brilliant day with a lovely group of boys. We can’t wait to welcome more year groups over the coming weeks.
