Our intrepid Y3 boys headed to London for a fantastic day of exploration at the British Museum on Wednesday 22 November.

Using their new devices, the boys delighted in capturing images of various exhibits, such as the museum’s mummification displays and canopic jars. Seeing the Rosetta Stone (one of the most famous objects in the museum) and a fragment of the Rameses statue up close was eye-opening. A real highlight for the boys was observing and sketching the largest surviving scarab beetle statue on their devices.

Head of Y3, Mrs Carrington, told us, “The museum’s captivating architecture ignited our curiosity, leading us to explore the Parthenon Marbles with renewed inspiration. We are going to take this information to create our own Egyptian-inspired museum as our unit draws to a close. Watch this space for more Egyptian secrets.”
