Excitement was running high as the curtains lifted for our first Prep musical for a couple of years—and what a comeback it proved to be.
In the all-singing and all-dancing Wow, What a Year!, our boys charted the extraordinary and challenging experiences of young students and their families over the course of the pandemic. Full of catchy pop and rock songs as well as ballads, covering everything from home-schooling to panic buying loo-roll, baffling and constantly changing government edicts to Captain Tom, the boys took the audience on an emotional but laugh-out-loud COVID roller-coaster ride.
Speaking after the show, its directors, Mrs Gedye and Mrs Turton told us, “Wow! What an experience! We are extremely proud of our cast, who worked so hard to pull this together. Well done, everyone!”
