Our Y8 boys headed off into the wild this week as part of their post-exam programme.

Their home for the two-day residential was the great outdoors, and, during their time in the forest, the boys enjoyed connecting with nature, working together and learning new skills. As ever, the boys covered themselves in camouflage cream and foliage to blend into their environment for camouflage and archery. In addition, they learned how to throw a tomahawk, make paracord bracelets and build shelters—a few brave souls even slept in their shelters overnight (very cold!). They also enjoyed making and cooking over campfires. On the alfresco menu were s’mores, popcorn and homemade burgers, which proved popular and disappeared fast!

The boys returned home able to reflect upon a memorable trip that allowed them to enjoy and relax in the natural camaraderie they share, have fun together and make memories with their friends, which we hope will stay with them for many years to come.
