Our Y8 boys are enjoying a project with a difference this year as they monitor weather and climate as part of their geography studies.

Working in pairs, the boys are taking regular measurements of our very changeable UK weather. Using environment meters, they carefully record airflow, temperature, humidity, light levels, sound levels and rainfall.

Geography teacher Miss Goodman told us, “It has been wonderful to see the boys take on the challenge of this project with such enthusiasm and maturity. They are now working with confidence and independence with the environment meters. After Easter, the boys will take the large bank of data that they have collected and analyse it to uncover trends. It promises to be a fascinating project.”

“It is really fun coming out and using the equipment.”
