On Friday 13th October we were delighted to be joined by Old Bedfordian Sir Desmond Swayne.
Sir Desmond Swayne was at the School between 1970 and 1975 and is the current MP for New Forest West. After a quick tour of the estate, over lunch, Sir Desmond spoke to Sixth Form boys studying Politics and then addressed the whole of the Upper School at Assembly. He shared a few entertaining stories about his time at the School, before talking broadly about the challenges facing the Government. The audience appreciated how frank and open he was when sharing his points of view. We look forward to Sir Desmond returning again to hear his views as the political picture evolves in the coming months.
