Many thanks to David Owen (Bedford School Governor and Board Director at Bedford Blues) and the team at Bedford Blues for being such great hosts at our Bedford Networking Forum. Around fifty Old Bedfordians, current and past parents joined us at The Burrow, the Blues’ newest hospitality venue, where guests also had the opportunity to catch the players in training ahead of their upcoming home fixture against Coventry.

The school has a long, shared history with the Blues;

“There can be no doubt that this school and the Blues are two major institutions that are woven into the fabric of the town. They have enjoyed a fantastic relationship throughout their histories and this bond will continue to thrive going forward.”  David Owen

Commenting on the networking event, David went on to say;

“It was a joy to see the latest coming together of Bedford School and Bedford Blues, two of the town’s finest institutions, when the most recent BSA Networking event was held at the Burrow bar at Goldington Rd. It was a lovely, buzzy atmosphere enjoyed by dozens of people, added to by the thoughts and experiences shared by Jamie Elliott (03-10), who has gained a high profile both at the school and now the club. We look forward to the next one!”

It was wonderful to see new and familiar faces of all ages and from a variety of professions get together and share ideas. We have received some great feedback , with many attendees telling us they have made valuable business connections.

We are always on the lookout for venues for future events. If you are interested in being a host, please do get in touch with us at obclub@bedfordschool.org.uk, we’d love to hear from you.
