Our Y5 became detectives for the afternoon on Thursday 14 June as they helped to solve a crime by looking at a mapping, patterns and the available evidence.

They joined Louise Giles from the Metropolitan Police on the hypothetical crime scene; dressing up in forensic suits to investigate the evidence, powdering for fingermarks, checking CCTV footage and shoe prints to discover the culprit. Did you know that the police keep a database of every branded trainer on sale in the UK and know the naughtiest ones: the ones preferred by criminals!

The super sleuthing session proved to be a very different but highly engaging workshop.
