After an impressive display of sheer grit, determination and willpower, it was St Peter’s and Talbots House who triumphed above all to become the 2022 champions of the House Tug of War.

As always, boys, staff and parents came out in force to support this much-loved annual event and a highlight of our Movember campaign. Conditions underfoot were slippery, but St Peter’s managed to stay upright in the mud to beat runners up Paulo Pontine/Redburn in the hard-fought battle.

A huge thank-you to the Parents’ Guild, who organised the event and purchased the t-shirts for the boys taking part. Special thanks, too, to Old Bedfordian Tom Wootton (78-87), who returned to umpire the event and provided the cup, which he presented to the winners.

Our Movember campaign is not only a way to support and raise funds for this incredible charity, but it also acts as a vehicle for the boys to explore and discuss male health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues. If you would like to show your support for today’s effort made in the Tug of War, you can donate via the school’s Movember fundraising page.
