We love sports at Bedford and always encourage boys to be active for the many benefits this brings, and, importantly, we always urge boys not to stop during assessments, however tempting that might be.

We know that taking a break to move and exercise is as an essential part of revision and assessments as studying well (along with eating well, getting a good night’s sleep and sharing any worries).

Just 20 minutes of physical activity helps boys feel happier and more relaxed as well as easing any anxieties. So, it is always great to see the boys making the most of their lunch breaks at this time. With the myriad of sports clubs offering everything from basketball to table tennis, cricket to swimming, squash to badminton, boys have no problem finding a fun and energetic activity to enjoy with their friends.
