After setting off on the last day of term, full of good cheer, a 45-strong group of Y7 and Y8 Prep School boys arrived in Austria just one sleep later, ready for breakfast. The first day was spent picking up their ski equipment and meeting their ski instructors in preparation for skiing the following day – and what a day it was with stunning mountains, clear skies and snow galore!

In the following days, the boys were fortunate to experience some truly glorious conditions as they learned to ski or honed their skills, carving up the wonderfully wide-open pistes and enjoying lunches with picture-perfect views.

The evenings were equally exciting for the boys as they enjoyed activities such as flume-based fun at the water park, a Tyrolean evening with lots of enthusiastic dancing and a highly competitive bowling night, to name a few.

After a brilliant week of skiing, during which the boys made fantastic progress, it was time to head home but happy with a wealth of fun experiences and memories under their belts.

The boys were outstanding (as ever) and a real credit to the school. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

“A big thank you to all the boys for their company and making the trip an excellent one. Also, a big thank you to Mr Guest, Mr Mason, Mr Hoggett and Mr Roger for all their help and support.”

Mr Dennis
