Sacha Ryan (Y5), Eben Clarke (Y6), Zachary Caldy (Y5) and Isaac Dailey (Y6) performed superbly in the area heat of Quiz Club’s Science Quiz Championship to take ninth place and secure a spot in the semi-finals in February.
The boys joined 65 teams from 36 schools online to compete in the area final, answering questions such as ‘Which star is closest to the Earth?’ (Answer: Proxima Centauri) and “Which subatomic particle did J J Thomson discover?’ (Answer: the electron).
Mrs Bamber praised the team’s performance, saying, “The boys did brilliantly, displayed some great knowledge and really enjoyed the quiz. It was wonderful to watch them grow in confidence as they worked together as a team.”
