12 of our talented Y8 scientists headed to Milton Keynes College for the Bedfordshire and North Buckinghamshire Science & Technology Challenge Day on Wednesday 3 July.

The boys joined with six other local schools to compete in combined teams (two pupils from one school were combined with 2 pupils from another school).

Throughout the day, the teams took part in a circuit of activities that included programming a robot to move around a mat with different shapes and colours, solve an E-Fit facial composition problem as well as a medical diagnostic task.

The overall winning team was comprised of two pupils from the Grange School in Buckinghamshire and our very own Sam Maling and Finn Montgomery. The boys were presented with their trophies by the Lord-Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire.

It was a wonderful event, not only for the science and technology challenges it presented but also for the opportunity the day provided to work alongside pupils from other schools and form new friendships.
