Bedford Schools George Furbank is the latest rising star to be awarded a full time contract with Northampton Saints Senior Academy.
The Sixth Former and current 1st XV captain has enjoyed great success during his time at Bedford School in not only rugby but also cricket, winning a national title in each. He also kicked the winning drop goal in the 2014 Rosslyn Park National Sevens final to secure the title for the school.
Speaking on his signing, Bedford Schools Director of Rugby told us, We are delighted to hear that he has signed for the Northampton Saints after being a part of their Academy setup from U13. He is a talented back with huge potential and we wish him every success as he embarks on a professional rugby playing career in arguably the best Premiership side in the country.
