We would not blame you for thinking that our Quarry Theatre was an Ibiza nightclub on Thursday 28 February. With a line-up of bands made up of pupils from Bedford School, Bedford Girls’ School and Bedford Modern School, the enthusiastic audience was treated to some seriously impressive sets. From promising junior bands through to some of the more established senior acts; the talent on show was outstanding.

Rock Night is becoming something of a tradition here at Bedford School, growing in size each year. This year, the crowd was larger than ever – with everyone engaged in the music and absorbing the electric atmosphere that the Quarry Theatre’s impressive light display helped create.

The night culminated in a euphoric ‘Genesis’ DJ set performed by Bedford School Sixth Former Olly Walker, who brought the audience to a crescendo of dance and cheer under a dynamic light show.

As is the case with many of our events, funds were raised for charity, and this time the chosen charity was Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, which is close to the heart of the Bedford School Community.
