It was laughter and smiles all round as we welcomed Karl Nova to the Prep School on Monday 17 June.
The Hip Hop artist and author engaged boys in all year groups with his wit, humour and positivity, and introduced to them a new way of thinking about poetry. Sharing brilliant, funny stories of his childhood and his early poems, Karl had the boys thinking about how they too can write fun poetry on just about anything.
His energetic and highly-physical brand of storytelling had the boys laughing out loud and buzzing with enthusiasm on creating their own poetry with rhythm. By the end of the session, he had boys and staff rapping and dancing, and was even asked if he could stay for an hour more!
