Our Prep boys love table tennis, as anyone who passes the table tennis tables in the playground at lunchtime or the balcony of the sports hall will attest. So we were delighted to see one of our pupils Quba Thomas (Y5), step up to the national stage to compete in the National Schools Individual U11 Finals. Quba is relatively new to the sport and has only played for fifteen months, but he loves table tennis and is a passionate and committed member of the school’s table tennis club.

Quba did amazingly well in the group stage, only losing to the No. 1 seed and eventual winner. He then moved into the last 16 in the competition only to lose to the No. 3 seed and eventual semi-finalist. As the youngest competitor, he has another shot at the U11 title next year. We can’t wait to see how he does!
