Art students from our Sixth Form are enjoying museums, music, art and lots of sunshine on their half-term trip to Vienna. Take a look at their postcard storyboard…

Their first full day was spent in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Austria’s largest museum of fine art.

Here the boys are discussing their drawings which they drew directly from paintings and sculptures.

Next of the art galleries they visited was the Belvedere, home to Gustav Klimt’s famous ‘Kiss’ painting.

Here the boys are sketching the Secession Building, arguably Vienna’s most photographed structure. Magnificent with its golden ‘cabbage dome’.

Patrick is talking to the other boys about this Hockney painting, as he is studying him as part of his art course.

Heads down for the traditional Croker quiz which was won by Team Schnitzel!
