On Saturday 18th March the OB crew took on the School for a fun afternoon of rowing. The OBs were welcomed back to the Boat Club by parents and boys from all year groups, once fortified and on the water, they showed that they have not lost their competitive spirit or the ability to move a boat, winning their 1st race against the 2nd VIII confidently by half a length, and even managing to conserve some energy, stopping before the line.  However, the tables were turned in the second race of the afternoon, with the 1st VIII drawing away in the second half of the race to win by a length, and so proving the adage “it’s the rowing not the dressage” that counts. Good fun was had by all!

We’d like to thank all OBs who came back – both rowers and supporters and look forward to seeing you all again!
