OB cricket lovers will be interested to learn that Director of Cricket, Gary Steer, has updated the Bedford School CC Play-Cricket website to now include a page displaying the Old Bedfordians who have played first-class county cricket. It is pleasing to see that a considerable number of the players have been within the last 20 years, so, along with the many other excellent players who have now left school, the Old Bedfordians Cricket Club should have a great team for the foreseeable future. The aim will be for at least all of the 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI and all the age group A and B scorecards to be uploaded to the website on a weekly basis, which will mean OBs can not only follow the results, they can also keep an eye out for the next crop of boys who could represent the OB CC in the future.

“The ECB streaming package will give the live matches a very professional look and it will not only be a chance for parents and OBs to watch the 1st XI play, it will also be a useful video analysis tool for our 1st XI coach and excellent exposure for Bedford School.

Finally, due to a kind grant made by the Bedford School Trust, the cricket department has purchased the ECB Live streaming equipment, which links in with the play-cricket website and will mean that the vast majority of home 1st XI matches (and possibly some away games) will be streamed live via YouTube.

You can follow the Bedford School CC on Twitter for updates on live links for each game.
