There was buzz in the air this morning as lots of excited boys, who are joining the Upper School in September, visited for Transition Day.

The boys, who are a mixture of new boys to Bedford School and our current Y8 Prep boys, all enjoyed a day filled with team-building activities designed to help them familiarise themselves with the school and forge new friendships.

Donning their mufti gear, the boys arrived for school at the start of the day. A packed day of activities, including a treasure hunt, Duke of Edinburgh challenge, CCF task, and time with their new tutor groups. Although some were nervous to begin with, the boys soon relaxed, and before the day was out, the buds of new friendships blossomed.

The boys also spent time in their day or boarding houses, and had the opportunity to meet their Housemasters for the first time. The day culminated with tea and cake served on the main field where they were joined by their parents.

With is being such a busy time of year for school residential trips, not every boy was able to be there but we do hope these boys are having a wonderful time and we look forward to welcoming them in September for the new academic year.
