The Bedford School Foundation Trust, the fundraising arm of the school, has many supporters who make regular donations to the music school.  The Trustees were therefore delighted to be able to approve a grant, submitted by the Music Department, for a new mixing desk.

The Yamaha TF5 Mixing Console is the latest in audio recording technology.  The equipment will be used by boys studying A Level Music Technology and those who create extracurricular projects.  It will enable users to put together recordings for their composition projects, create voice overs and podcasts, and to work creatively in a professional quality studio environment.

The equipment not only benefits the boys, but our whole community. Concerts and productions can be recorded anywhere across the school site, with the sound being streamed back to the control room where the boys can mix it in on the desk.  For live events, such as House Singing, concerts and Speech Day, the sound can be mixed and synchronised with the camera systems, giving the audience an enhanced experience.

Thank you to all those who support the Music school and its facilities.
