Our Y7 and Y8 boys are celebrating after a highly successful Junior Mathematical Challenge.
The boys who took part in the challenge achieved a phenomenal 16 Gold awards, 35 Silver awards and 45 Bronze – possibly a new record for the school!
Acting Head of Maths, Mrs Charlie Walker, told us, “The Junior Mathematical Challenge tests problem-solving skills and reasoning, and the questions are very challenging indeed! However, I am proud to say that the boys’ hard work and fantastic logic clearly paid dividends. This is an outstanding achievement for them all!”
Special mentions must go to Oliver Barbour, who achieved the top score in Y7 with a total of 112, and Rhys Brook, who was the top scorer in Y8 with 102.
