We were delighted to welcome the two Steves, aka ‘I Hero’ authors Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore, to the Prep School on Wednesday 17 June 2015.
Boys in Y7 and Y8 were treated to an entertaining talk on writing stories with lots of examples of how to use your own experiences as a starting point. Steve’s tales of Girl Guide camp will keep the boys smiling for quite some time!
Boys in Y3-Y6 participated in a hilarious game show, using the I Hero books (and other superheroes) for inspiration. Everyone had to join in, even the teachers, who were told off for not rowing the Viking ship, and some were even interrogated by the ‘Secret Police’. Well done to the two boys who played ‘Captain Scoreboard’ and were very entertaining, and to the many others who took a turn at leading their team of Heroes in the different challenges.
