It was a delight to hear our Prep boys singing their hearts out in a packed Great Hall on Friday 10 February, as our Prep House Singing competition made a joyous return after a three-year hiatus.

It was a truly special afternoon and the most wonderful way to end the half term. The many hours of practice and hard work that the boys and their teachers have put in over the last months truly shone through, and the enjoyment on the boys’ faces as they proudly represented their houses was evident for all to see.  This year’s adjudicator, Rob Bishop, commented that the boys’ singing was “Absolutely superb!” He went on to say, “It has been brilliant to see the boys enjoying singing, making music together and having fun.”

This year, there was also a wonderful added treat from some of our teachers who flash mobbed the stage to perform Country Roads, much to the boys’ and audience’s delight.

Our congratulations go to all the boys and their teachers. However, special congratulations must go to Howard on winning the Part Song Cup and Harpur for winning the Unison Cup and taking the overall title to become this year’s House Singing champions.

If you were not able to watch the competition in person, or would like to see it once again, you can do so below.
