We are delighted to share the following new single of Pie Jesu, recorded by Hugo O’Boyle (Y6).

When Hugo was offered the opportunity to do a studio recording, he jumped at the chance to record and release this moving piece of music to raise funds for Willen Hospice, who cared for his nanny in the last few weeks of her life, and dedicate the song to her memory.

Hugo chose Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Pie Jesu as it was his nanny’s favourite piece, and a song that Hugo’s uncle, who was head chorister of St James’ Choir School, used to sing. Hugo has always loved singing and is clearly following in his uncle’s footsteps, after joining our Chapel Choir in Y5. It is wonderful to see him already using his talent for singing to help make a difference.

Hugo’s family together have raised close to £5,000 for Willen Hospice, and Hugo alone has raised an incredible £395 in CD sales of his recording of Pie Jesu. Please do have a listen and consider downloading a copy to help raise further funds for this brilliant charity that provides much-needed compassionate care to end-of-life patients in our local community.
