It has been an outstanding season for our hockey boys with an incredible 108 fixtures played and 248 goals scored! Perhaps most notably, the 1st XI has enjoyed a season that is maybe one of the best in recent times, losing just one block fixture all year.

Building on their success, this week saw them battle for a place in the finals of the England Hockey Tier 3 Championships. Starting with an away Quarter Final at Royal Grammar School High Wycombe, where they came away with a 3-0 win. The standout performance came from Upper Sixth Former Josh Stewart, who executed short corners brilliantly.

The win could not be timelier as Director of Hockey, Mr Mee, bids us farewell this Easter. What better time to hang up his Bedford hoodie as he leaves the Hockey Club in superb shape and with a strong pipeline of players coming through.

Mr Mee commented, “Thank you to all the boys for all their hard work over the last seven years and to the staff for their support. Good luck to Lee Hoggett and all the boys in the future. I look forward to watching your successes from the sidelines.”
