Wizard cloaks, quidditch and potions galore, it could only mean one thing – Harry Potter Day!

As ever a highlight of the spring term, our Y3 and Y4 boys adventured into the wonderful wizarding world of Harry Potter for a day for this much-loved annual event. In lessons, the boys worked hard at cauldron maths, brushed up on their spells, and enjoyed the imaginative storytelling. Outside the classroom, boys enjoyed a spot of quidditch along with special themed cakes and butterbeer in the Dining Hall at lunch.

In their special lunchtime and after-school sessions, the boys made quill pencils, origami monster bookmarks, wizard lanterns and fire-breathing dragons. There was also a Hogwarts Express spot-the-difference challenge, a wizard word search and a colouring competition. And to finish the day, what could be more fitting than a magical reading of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone from Miss Goodman.

“Words, in my humble opinion, are the most inexhaustible source of magic we have.
