Our Y3 boys took their audience on an exciting adventure as a mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood to come face-to-face with an owl, a snake … and a hungry Gruffalo! However, this was by far no ordinary drama production of the classic and much-loved tale by Julia Donaldson, as it was all in French!

The boys, who have been busy practising their French all term with Mme Chaillou-Kindred, performed their lines with confidence, flair and va-va-voom! However, their performances were about more than the words; with guidance from Mrs Turton, they also managed to capture the drama of the story with humour and wit, showing great presence on the stage as each boy played his part perfectly. The boys carried the audience of Y4 boys, parents and staff along as the tale unfolded and received rapturous applause for their brilliant performance.
