Despite grey skies and the occasional deluge of rain, our Y4 boys enjoyed a truly action-packed few days at Grafham Water from Wednesday 8 to Friday 10 May.

During the three days of their residential stay at the Grafham Water Centre, the boys successfully scaled the challenges set with great energy and enthusiasm. From the climbing wall to high and low ropes to the stack challenge, the boys worked together brilliantly and noticeably grew in confidence.

Out on the water, they built rafts, kayaked, sailed and paddled to their heart’s content. On land, they learned new skills such as archery and orienteering and had fun exploring the local area by bicycle.

By dusk, there were campfires and s’mores to enjoy along with the chance to share the adventures on the day with their friends and teachers.

We think that there will be many tired, slightly grubby but very happy boys heading home tonight.
