The Prep School U12 rugby team travelled to Finborough
School in Stowmarket to participate in their annual festival on Sunday 4th
October.
In a tough group, they finished second beating Orwell
Park and St John’s Cambridge and just losing the Taverham Hall.
The quarter final was against Old Buckenham Hall and was
won comfortably leading to the semi-final against Taverham Hall (!). This was a
very hard fought encounter with both teams attacking with determination but
meeting some strong defence. The score was 0-0 at full time and a period of
sudden death was played. Following a good move by Taverham their speedy winger
scored and put our boys out.
Over the day the standard of rugby played by Bedford
improved and the team functioned well. A really good effort by the boys.
