The Eagle Choir sang to a packed audience at St Mary Magdalene Church, Westoning, on Saturday 28th January to raise some much-needed funds for the church. They performed a delightful programme featuring A Little Jazz Mass by Bob Chilcott, Songs and Sonnets by George Shearing and Feel The Spirit by John Rutter, expertly directed by Bedford School’s Keith Roberts. They were joined by Mezzo Soprano soloist, Hannah Sandison and Piano Accompanist, David Williams which greatly added to the performance. A warm welcome was given to the choir by Westoning Church with drinks and refreshments provided at the interval for all. The audience was mainly drawn from the church community of Westoning, Tingrith, Harlington and Toddington and the concert was well received by everybody.

The choir will be performing another concert to be held at Bedford School later in the year. They rehearse at the school and are mainly made up of parents, past parents and staff of Harpur Trust schools and are always looking for new members to join them.  You can find out more about the choir and how to join here.
