Congratulations to our Prep table tennis boys who enjoyed a superb weekend of competition and double medal success.
On Saturday 27 April, Nayan Pattni, Sacha Ryan, Gabe Stone, Javier Navarro Mosquera (all Y6), Freddie Gibbs (Y7), Khushal Pattni, Henri Helm and George Kotsidis (all Y8) headed to Edge Grove School for the IAPS National Championships.
In a superb day of sport, Nayan topped the podium, winning the U11 individual gold. Sacha and Javier reached the last 16, and Gabe reached the last 32.
In the U13 competition, Kushal took fourth place. Freddie reached the quarter-finals, and Henri and George reached the last 32.
The next day, our U11 team headed to Wolverhampton to compete in Table Tennis England’s Butterfly Schools National Team Finals – the first time a Bedford Prep School team had reached the National Final of this competition.
The boys, Quba Thomas, Nayan Pattni, Sacha Ryan and Gabe Stone (Y6), who, along with Daniel Lee (Y6), started their journey to the finals in early February, played superbly against schools from across the country to take third place.
