The Great Hall was filled with over 200 guests on the evening the 25th September for the first Creative Arts Careers Evening. The event brought together 18 professionals working in diverse fields ranging from the Music, Drama and Art sectors. Alexander L’Estrange and Joanna Forbes L’Estrange gave a keynote address about their experience in the Creative Industries. This was followed by subject-specific talks by David Fletcher (48-69) (Auctioneer), Richard Mann (Voice artist, Director, Actor) and Ben Finn (Entrepreneur and founder of Sibelius software). Students from all over Bedford came to the evening and had the opportunity to chat with the visiting professionals – lots of productive conversations were had!
Joss Sanders (staff) said “I was absolutely delighted with the success of the evening – it is always slightly nerve-wracking when you put on an event like this because you don’t quite know how many people will come. It was definitely worth the effort!”
