A selection of our talented artists in Y8 extended their
class exploration of self-portraiture through the medium of collage last week
in a special workshop.
Boys were challenged to prepare a photograph for the
composition, enlarge it to an A2 board and, using IT, to experiment with visual
effects. The young artists then set about emphasising tonal changes in
their composition by applying torn or cut papers. Some also produced some
wonderful mixed-media pieces by applying paints.
The fantastic results are now almost complete and will be
on show in the Prep School after half-term for all to see.
