Nine cadets from our Combined Cadet Force showed they are hot-shots when they won first place at the CADSAAM shooting competition at the weekend.

For the second year in a row our cadets scooped first place – last year being the first win in 116 years and a comprehensive win at that – putting pressure on this year’s team.

The CADSAAM is a national shooting competition for CCF (Combined Cadet Forces) and ACF (Army Cadet Forces) in the Eastern area and involves four individual matches over two days at 200 and 300 metre ranges.

Happily, the team (listed below) rose to the challenge and retained the title. In fact, as well as winning overall, the team achieved second places in both the Montgomery of Alamein and Cadet 200 Shoots. They also won the Falling Plate Match, and Will English achieved overall ‘Top Shot’ in the competition.
