Over the half-term break, a group of 32 Y8 boys enjoyed a rugby tour to Cardiff. While Storm Ciarán curtailed quite a few planned matches, it did little to dampen the boys’ spirits.

During their brilliant, albeit wet and windy, five-day trip, the boys honed their rugby skills, played two fixtures against their superb hosts, Llanishen, and enjoyed their downtime, playing cricket and football in the park, ten-pin bowling, mini-golf and Laser Quest, and, when the storm got too much, an afternoon at Chance & Counters. This dedicated board game cafe had the most brilliant range of board games – enough to entertain everyone on a stormy day. The boys also enjoyed trips to Cardiff Castle and, fittingly for a Rugby trip, watched an entertaining match at the Principality Stadium, home of the Welsh national rugby union team.
