Bunyan House dodged spring showers to proudly present the fruits of their labours in their ‘Great Seedling Swap’.

With a wide variety of plants, including chillies, peppers, aubergines, cosmos, sweet peas and nasturtiums, boys and staff were spoilt for choice. This brilliant bounty of seedlings was, in large part, thanks to the highly successful mystery seed sales held by Bunyan House earlier in the term, which raised over £200, and the boys and staff who took up the challenge to plant and grow the seeds.

At the sale, boys could swap the seedlings they had grown at home or buy them by making a £1 donation to this year’s Bunyan House Charity: CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

Mrs Chaillou-Kindred said, “I am delighted that so many boys took up the challenge of growing plants from seed and then sharing their brilliant growing successes with us today to raise even more funds for our house charity this term: CRY. A big thank you to all the boys and staff who grew seedlings and helped with the sale.”
