In a brilliantly different history lesson this week, our Y6 boys took to the (virtual) airwaves to share the news of the dissolution of the monasteries in Tudor times. Working in teams of four, each group of boys wrote their own script to report on this fascinating piece of history, which they did by taking on the roles of interviewer, Henry VIII, a monk and Thomas Cromwell.
Their history teacher Mrs Russell commented, “It was wonderful to see the boys sharing their knowledge of the reformation, which they have been learning about in recent lessons, in a fun and engaging way. Some boys were more comfortable acting than others, but all did superbly! A huge well done.”
