The Prep Guild held their first ever Bingo and Burritos Night last Saturday, and what a brilliantly bonkers night it was. Our host Alan, suitably dressed in his gold sequined jacket, had all the bingo-lingo and the best (worst!) prizes imaginable.

From an ironing board to a Nanna-trolley, a giant jar of gherkins to a bumper pack of toilet roll, the stage was adorned with treats for those winning a line or a full house. Dabbers poised, the concentration in the room proved that it was serious stuff for those taking part. When the ’Bingo’ call was shouted; party poppers exploded, disco lights shimmered and the winner was awarded the prize they never knew they needed.

We know the winners were secretly grateful. Everyone needs a bumper roll of bubble wrap in their life, don’t they?! Even the raffle tickets, being sold by Lesley whizzing round on her roller skates, added another quirky element to the proceedings.

The traditional number games were intermingled with musical rounds that got everyone dancing and furiously racking their brains to name that tune. A burrito supper, expertly prepared by the school’s catering team, was enjoyed along with a well-stocked bar including craft beer and artisan wines from local suppliers.

The raffle was the perfect end to the evening with some superb prizes on offer, very kindly donated by Prep parents. Thank you so much to everyone who came along on the night. We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderfully supportive and fun community. Here’s to the next event!
