Friday 17 March saw the first-ever Bedford Prep School’s Got Talent competition, and what an array of talent we saw on stage.

Boys across all year groups had the opportunity to audition for the event, and the finalists took to the stage in front of the judges, Mr Silk and Mrs Iversen, who had the challenging task of choosing the winners.

As ever, the boys demonstrated that they are an incredibly talented bunch – we saw acts from magicians, singers, comedians and musicians, yo-yo skills and Rubik’s Cube challenges. Daniel Joaille-Burge (Y7) and Samuel Hughes (Y8) were our resident Ant and Dec for the evening, taking on the challenge that any live performance gives and handling it extremely professionally.

Daniel Lee won the Y3-Y5 category, and Kian Walia won the Y6-Y8 category to lift the first-ever Bedford Prep School’s Got Talent trophies.

Mrs Turton, the event’s creator, said, “The whole premise around this idea was to give boys the opportunity to perform and showcase their talents in a supportive environment (no matter how experienced). It truly was a joy to watch the boys shine.”
