After four weeks of district qualifiers, both the Prep School’s A and B badminton teams earned their place at the finals morning.
The competition: a round-robin tournament against the other qualifiers in the county. The A-team (Leo Mathew, Jack Down, Ben Maddaford, Joshua George and Alex Turner) successfully won all their games to win the competition. The B team (Zealand Ye, Aryan Sohanpal, Blake Balachandran, Freddie Bowis and Lewis Noble) also performed brilliantly, only losing one match to our own A-team.
Unfortunately, the competition will not progress onto a regional round this year. Nonetheless, the boys will have the opportunity to qualify for the regionals and, possibly, nationals next year.
Well done to all 33 boys who represented the Prep School in badminton this year.
