OB Ben Wilshaw-Quinn (07-18) has had wonderful recognition of his work by being chosen to exhibit in the Annual Royal Institute of Oil Painters show 2023. Not that that’s all the accolade Ben is enjoying, as he was also awarded 3rd prize in the Windsor & Newton Young Artist Award for his self portrait that was chosen for the ROI exhibition.

“It was an amazing evening and quite a surreal experience to be exhibiting my work in such a prominent London Gallery (Mall Galleries, on the Mall near Trafalgar Square) alongside artists I have followed for years and members of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Hopefully this will be the first of many of my artworks to be exhibited in London galleries. (It was the 136th annual Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual exhibition and it was opened on the evening by Lady McAlpine, patron of the ROI) “

“Mr Croker and Mrs Whiteman have definitely been instrumental in my success as an artist so far, the support and encouragement both of them as well as Mrs Smith gave to me, especially during the sixth form is something I will never forget and will always be thankful for.”
